Studio Day 1

Thinking and planning and dreaming of how this day is going to go, has been all consuming for a couple weeks.. Meeting my producer Eric Blomquist for the first time, and meeting back up with Joe Peterson who I met working on my last album.. How would we mesh? Would we mesh? Why am I using the word mesh so much? Well it was in a word... Delightful!!

Eric was excited to start this project and was so kind to welcome me into his gorgeous studio in Minneapolis. River Rock Studios... This place is where dreams come true, and there is so much creative flowing through here, it is palpable... The gorgeous grand piano welcoming me in sat shining in the center... Joe came prepared and then some! Joe is seriously incredible! Learned the 3 songs I sent him so fast, he played them as if he wrote them himself! I cant imagine having that much talent!

We paved the ground work for “Feels Like Home” “Without You” and “one last stop til Boston “ Each one as wonderful as the last… We laughed and shared stories and cried… well okay “pretend” cried at the Boston song… it’s just so much drama!! A wonderful day!!

I can’t put in words how much it means to have someone believe in the music that I have created. To hear excitement from someone else, to find ways to bring more magic to these songs and make them better!

I’m thankful to have found Eric as my new producer and I am so freaking excited to see where these next few months takes us with this album! I am grateful to Joe for coming on board again to play the keys the way I only wish I knew how!!

The “My Time” train has left the station and I look forward to sharing with you all, who joins the ride!!...
